Joris Meurs leads the mass spectrometry facility of the Life Science Trace Detection Laboratory at Radboud University. The main line of research is on trace detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for various life science applications. Within OBSeRVeD, the focus is on characterising the odours related to poultry red mite infestation and intestinal health in order to help designing an eNose system that can be more specific towards detecting disease-related molecules.
